Blocked by Buildings represents my undeterred connection with the underlying nature of the urban landscape — the background that goes unnoticed when observing only what is immediately seen.

I am continuously fascinated by the potential of clay and the processes that transform raw earth into forms of visual and tactile beauty. I make use of varying textures, clay bodies and firing methods to enhance the interplay of sight and touch. My work is primarily functional in nature as I find the pleasure of holding and using a piece of art to be unmatched.
